THE ARBELY LAB
SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY
The Arbely Lab for
Overview
Our laboratory is interested in elucidating the molecular mechanisms by which metabolism and transcription are regulated by post-translational modifications. To obtain biochemical, functional and structural information on site-specifically modified proteins, we develop and apply methods
to genetically encode non-natural amino acids. This multidisciplinary research combines elements from synthetic biology, chemical biology, synthetic organic chemistry, and structural biology.
